Sunday

Welcome to your Artistic Gourmet Adventure! Our private driver will meet you in Split and take you to a designated marina in Split, Croatia and then escort you to your private transfer boat which will take you to the Island of Hvar (about a 90 minute voyage). Here you will be greeted by a transfer vehicle and escorted to your private Villa home for the week. We will greet you there!

Upon arrival to our Island Villa, Kim will take you on a tour of the Villa. After being shown to your rooms, we will gather and have a welcome toast with homemade gourmet hors d’oeurves and a local sparkling wine. Then you will be seated for a gourmet dinner using local products and prepared by Le Cordon Bleu – Paris Alum Chef Walter Eagleton of Artistic Gourmet Adventures.

Monday

After a leisurely breakfast, Kim will escort you on the 15 minute walk to the harbor town of Hvar. Here Kim will orient you to the town. You will have lots of free time to wander the town, choose your own restaurant for a slow lunch* (with suggestions), do a bit of shopping and then return home to the Villa for your ‘Canapes and Cocktails’ before being seated to enjoy a multicourse gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Walter outside overlooking the sea.

Tuesday

Kim will accompany you and we will board our private 52ft Catamaran for a day of fun in the sun. Snacks, beer, wine, soft drinks, coffee, tea and Lunch will be served on board. Swimming will be available. More defined itinerary to be announced. Average high sea temperature in June is 74F. 

We will then return home to the Villa for your ‘Canapes and Cocktails’ before being seated to enjoy a multicourse gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Walter outside overlooking the sea. 

Wednesday

After another wonderful breakfast, Kim and the group will board a private transfer boat to the medieval Island of Korcula. About an 80 min ride across the Aegean. This picturesque little Island, located on a small peninsula, and surrounded by city walls and towers is often compared to Dubrovnik. While arriving at Korčula from the sea, we will enjoy the best perspective of this city, known for its timeless beauty and its connection to a famous medieval explorer and world traveler – Marco Polo. It is believed that Polo was born right here in Korčula (as the family name DePolo is usual on the island). You are welcome to visit a museum located in the building that’s believed to be his birth house. Today we know that this house was built in the 17th century, but locals say that it is built on the ruins of his old house. Nevertheless, this is a must see location in Korčula as it also offers a wonderful view of the city. Korčula’s old town has the most interesting layout. Built in the shape of a fish bone – with one main street that goes from north to south and many small ones that join it vertically. This design offers good aeration and also protects the town from strong winds. While walking the old town we suggest you pay a visit to St Marcos cathedral with the altarpiece painting ‘Three Saints’ painted by the Venetian artist Tintoretto. You can also climb the bell tower for a stunning view. Besides the cathedral, the Town Museum and Abbey Treasury are located on the main city square. Modern art lovers can visit the Memorial Collection of Maksimilijan Vanka. If you are more into romantic walks, an impressive 101 steps long promenade leading up to the church of St Anthony on a nearby hill would be our suggestion for you. While walking the streets of Korčula, this unique and unforgettable little town, you will immediately feel its charm: palm trees located next to the sea, massive stone walls that offer the most romantic views and where best cocktails are served, cobbled streets, beautiful Renaissance houses and churches, chic and charming shops and boutiques – Korčula has it all. The rich history combined with the beautiful nature, colorful gastronomy and warm and welcoming people is this town’s formula of success. And this is why we assure you; you will be thrilled with your visit to this island.

Thursday

Today, another great day at sea on our private Catamaran. Kim and the group will again board our private 52ft Catamaran for another day of fun in the sun.

Snacks, beer, wine and soft drinks, coffee, tea and Lunch will be served on board. Swimming will be available. More defined itinerary to be announced. Average high sea temperature in June is 74F.

Friday

After breakfast, Kim and the group will join our private land transportation for a tour of Hvar Island. We will stop and have a wine and olive oil tasting from a small family owned vineyard. Croatian wines are excellent! 

Every summer and fall, residents on the Croatian island of Hvar harvest the fertile plain outside the town of Stari Grad. They scythe herbs and lavender for essential tinctures, liqueurs, and countless bags of potpourri, as bees buzz and float atop the seductive, earthy aromas. They assemble in the groves to pluck olives, which are pressed into green, Dalmatian oil. And they come, baskets and tools in hand, to snip bunches of grapes for white and red wine. Under sharp blue skies and within a grid of ancient plots, divided by chest-high drystone walls and wedged between the mountains and the Adriatic Sea, the islanders have assumed this metronomic, seasonal rhythm for thousands of years. 

We will stop at some historical sites, eat a local lunch* and in the afternoon, return to our Island Villa to take a nap or swim in our private pool. Of course, we will have Canapes and Cocktails while awaiting the excellent gourmet dinner prepared by Chef Walter. 

Saturday

Today is the day to say good bye. Your private transport vans will arrive at the Villa at 8 am and take you to the marina where you will rejoin your transfer boat back to the marina in Split for your journey home or on to other wonderful Adventures!

The town of Hvar is located in a bay at the southwestern end of the island of the same name, which is also the sunniest island in the Adriatic. The town of Hvar is a city built over the centuries by renowned local and foreign architects, brought to the canvas by artists. The city dating to the late 13th century had the characteristics of Romanesque-Gothic architecture. The city is also famous for its arsenal, one of the best preserved in the Mediterranean. It was built in the mid-16th century. A special part of Hvar are the pristine coves close to the city, which can be visited by car, bike or inspirational walks through the Mediterranean landscape.

Our Mediterranean-style luxury villa has a gorgeous position in the second row from the sea with a spectacularly breathtaking sea view of the offshore Pakleni islands and the island of Vis. The view, and especially the wonderful sunsets with the amazing scenery, will give you the feeling as if you are living a fairy tale dream.

Our entire property is surrounded by the lush Mediterranean greenery of pine, palm, and lemon trees. The large, newly built, private heated outdoor pool and the terraces offer the most amazing panoramic sea view and will give you the true feeling of a perfect vacation.

The splendid yard of our beachfront villa on Hvar welcomes you after passing through the gate. Here, you will feel like you are in a true oasis. The stone stairs lead to the gorgeous pool and cascade terrace area, where everyone will forget the rest of the world and fully enjoy an amazing Adventure. The five terraces, which are all furnished with exclusive garden furniture, deck chairs and sun umbrellas, as well as the large private pool, in which you can enjoy the most beautiful view while swimming, are the most amazing parts of our villa.

Our luxury Croatian seafront villa is completely air-conditioned. It is equipped with Internet access.

Distance from our villa to the sea is 300 ft and it is just 15 minutes walking distance from the the town of Hvar.

You will be met at a designated area in Split and then to a marina in Split, Croatia and then escorted to your private transfer boat which will take you to the Island of Hvar (about a 90 minute voyage). Here you will be greeted by a transfer vehicle and escorted to your private Villa home for the week. We will greet you there! At the finale of your Adventure at 8 am on Saturday morning, you will be transported back to the marina for your voyage back to the marina in Split.

The Artistic Gourmet Adventures’ greeting time is 4:00 pm on Sunday (the first day of your Adventure) at a designated marina in Split (marina location to be determined closer to the Adventure date). For the comfort of you, and our other travel weary Adventurers, it is preferred that arrival time be planned to meet this hour for the voyage to our Island Villa. 

Please plan for an 8:00 am departure from the villa to the Hvar marina on Saturday, the last day of your Adventure, back to the Split marina. Everyone will be traveling together to the Split Marina.

This Adventure includes ground and transportation to excursions (as per itinerary), as well as all excursion costs. Tips, if desired, to service personnel are not included and are voluntary. The laundry is designated for Villa staff only, so please pack accordingly. 

Services and fares

The fare includes accommodation in our Villa, a luxury queen bedded bedroom with ensuite bathroom and air conditioning, double occupancy. Meals included are breakfast daily, Gourmet dinners daily and hors d’oeurves including soft drinks and coffee/tea. Wine is included with dinner as well as an assortment of complimentary cocktails and beer.

Meals: Lunches* during excursions are not included. Airfare not included.

Travel and Medical Insurance is highly recommended and can be bought at a reasonable price on the website https://www.squaremouth.com/ with a variety of policies. Many of them include cancel for any reason. Purchase of this insurance may save you thousands if illness occurs as the deposit and the balance are not refundable. Some require a “deposit date” within 14 days of purchase to qualify for insurance.
