Adventure Terms of Service and Details

Luxury accommodations: Accommodations are reserved on a first-come, first-served basis and held with a deposit. Alternate accommodations of same caliber may be substituted.

We highly recommend you arrive a few days early to a location and accommodation of your choice to acclimatize to the time change in order to enjoy the Adventure more rested.

Ground Transportation: Transportation by van or car. Transfers to and from railway station are included. Entrance fees are included for all sightseeing activities as indicated in the tour itinerary. The cost of rail transportation to greeting site will be arranged and added to your balance.

Included in Adventure: Accommodations and meals at accommodations; educational materials; pre-departure information; entrance fees, excursions, and sightseeing noted as included in the itinerary; ground transportation during the Adventure only; transfers to and from rail station by van at pre-selected times. Please note: the meals noted apply to the period during the Adventure only and do not include any meals on flights to/from the trip.

Booking Requirements: A non-refundable deposit of $750.00 per person and a completed registration form are required at the time you book.

Airfare: Airfare is not included with your tour.

Mobility: You should be able to walk at least 10-20 minutes at a time and climb stairs. Wheelchair accessibility is very limited and not guaranteed. The majority of trips are not strenuous and anyone who is reasonably fit should be able to take part in most of the activities. You may experience general fatigue due to the long flights and the change in time zones. You will need to be sufficiently agile to climb in and out of the tour van and be able to carry and manage your own baggage.

Children: Tours are not designed for children under the age of 18. Children are welcome when Adventure is retained as a Family Gathering and all participants come as a family group.

Terms and Conditions: The designated, Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc and its designated Adventure hosts in turn, acts only as a facilitator for any transportation carrier, hotel, ground operator, or other suppliers of services connected with these tours (“other providers”), and the other providers are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services. The passenger tickets in use by the carriers shall constitute the sole contract between the carriers and the passenger; the carriers are not responsible for any act, omission, or event during the time participants are not aboard their conveyances. Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc and its designated Adventure hosts shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider; and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or any subdivision or agent thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics or pandemics, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against Artistic Gourmet Adventures and/or its designated Adventure hosts for any such loss, damage, injury, or death. By registering for an Artistic Gourmet Adventure, the participant certifies that he/she does not have any mental, physical, or other condition or disability that would create a hazard for him/herself or other participants. Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc and its designated Adventure host reserve the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant on an Artistic Gourmet Adventure. Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc and the Adventure hosts reserve the right, without penalty, to make changes in the published itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of participants. No cash refunds, only Adventure Credit Voucher will be issued if warranted. Neither Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc nor Adventure hosts, shall be liable for any air carrier’s cancellation penalty incurred by the purchase of a nonrefundable ticket to or from the participant’s departure city. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the sole responsibility of the participant.

Proof of Travel Insurance is required and can be bought on line from Travelguard.com/ or Allianz Travel Insurance.com. And please make sure you buy “Cancel for Any Reason”.

Basis of Rates: All prices are per person. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While we will do everything possible to maintain the listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge, we reserve the right to do so, and notification will be given at the time of final invoicing.

Not Included: Air transportation and related fees; train transportation to Adventure locations, activities noted as optional in the itinerary; gratuities, unless otherwise noted on the itinerary page; passport and visa expenses; baggage/accident/cancellation insurance; personal expenses, such as laundry, telephone calls, and meals outside of accommodations and most alcoholic beverages; and any other items not specifically noted as included.

Payments, Cancellations, and Refunds: To reserve space a non-refundable $750 per-person deposit is required. Final payment is due no later than 90 days prior to commencement of Adventure. Payments can be made by PayPal, check or cash. Your reservation may be canceled by Artistic Gourmet Adventures if full payment has not been received by 90 days prior to departure. For reservations made within 90 days of the commencement of Adventure, full payment is required when the reservation is accepted. All cancellation notices must be received in writing and will become effective as of the date of the postmark. Cancellations prior to 91 days prior to commencement of Adventure Adventure Voucher minus deposit. Deposits are non-refundable. This policy also applies to pre- and post-trip extensions. Any revisions made within the Cancellation Penalty Period, such as a change in commencement date of Adventure or choice of trip, are subject to this cancellation policy. Any airline tickets issued are subject to the carrier’s refund policy. Leaving an Adventure in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of an Adventure. We reserve the right to cancel any Adventure because of inadequate enrollment that makes the trip economically infeasible to operate or because of good-faith concerns with respect to the safety, health, or welfare of the participants. If we cancel the trip in progress, you will receive a prorated Adventure credit voucher based on the number of days not completed on the Adventure. We will not be responsible for any refund for nonrefundable airline tickets or for any airline tickets purchased by the passenger directly from an airline or travel agent.

Insurance: Trip-cancellation insurance is required. Visit www.travelguard.com or www.Allianz.com . In addition, each participant must be covered by medical insurance that is valid overseas.

Itinerary Changes: The itineraries and staff presented in this website are subject to modification by Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc or its designated Adventure host. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent.

Health Requirements: Participants must be in good physical and mental health. Any physical condition, diet, or treatment requiring special attention must be reported in writing when the reservation is made. Participants should also be aware that medical services or facilities might not be readily available during all or part of the trip. This could include emergency medical care, presence of physicians, or adequate medication.

Photography: We reserve the right to take photographs or videos during the operation of any Adventure or part thereof and to use the resulting photography, videos, or recordings for promotional or commercial use. By making a reservation on an Artistic Gourmet Adventure, the participant agrees to allow his/ her likeness to be used by the Adventure host without compensation to the participant. If the participant prefers that his/her likeness not be used, he/she must notify us in writing prior to departure of the trip.

Copyright in all photographs, video, and related materials created by the participant shall belong to the participant upon creation. The participant agrees to the use by Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc, any materials provided to Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc and/or the Adventure hosts in any media for the following limited purposes: editorial use, promotion of this editorial use, promotion of Artistic Gourmet Adventures, Inc.
Other Terms and Conditions may apply to some Adventures and will be provided with pre-trip mailings.

By registering for an Artistic Gourmet Adventure, the participant agrees to the Responsibility statement and the Terms and Conditions herein. Rev 07/2020
