Grab your camera and come and spend a week with Laurie Klein! Laurie an award-winning fine art, commercial, wedding and portrait photographer as well as an educator. She is the author of Photographing the Female Form with Digital Infrared, and Hand Coloring Black and White Photography, a contributing writer for the Professional Photographers of America magazine, and Rangefinder Magazine. Her work has been published in The New York Times, New York Magazine, Interior Design Magazine, Modern Bride, Ridgefield Magazine and others. You don’t have to be a professional photographer to attend Laurie Klein’s amazing Workshop!

The Manor house is surrounded by gardens and a walled vineyard. The owner is wine journalist and author, and is injecting new life (bio-dynamic) into this forgotten gem of a vineyard, first established by the Capucins monks in 1604. The monastery was burnt down during the French Revolution. The house that now stands on the site is part 18th/part 19th Century. Recently redecorated, it has a warm family-house feel. There is a lovely Library, a Sitting room with a well-tuned grand piano, fireplace and French windows opening on to the south-facing garden and an elegant Dining room with fireplace and panoramic view of Chinon Castle. Views from every window are exquisite, some straight out of a XVIIth painting – lush countryside with the meandering river, vineyards, chateaux. A five minute walk from the manor will lead you down a cobbled street lined with medieval to Renaissance buildings, and then onto the main square with a fountain and cafés.
