These accommodations are very unique to Brittany. An old farm has been made into a wonderful guest house with two attached cottages.
The Tarais House
The main house is a 16th century “longere” (The longère is one of the most typical French and Breton property types. It is predominantly a rural property type found in all departments of Brittany. It is traditionally built in a rectangular shape. The name means rectangular shape in French) in a countryside setting. Large gardens provide plenty of room to enjoy the swimming pool. The house has 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, kitchen, lounge and dining room. The dining room is south facing with oak tables, beamed ceilings and a large fireplace with wood burner. This room forms the ‘heart’ of the house.
There is a long pergola with tables and chairs for ‘alfresco’ dinners on those long summer nights. The sitting room is on the ground floor . A cozy room offers comfortable sofas and easy chairs it is a great TV room (with English & French channels, video and dvd player). There is also lots of reading material and views over the garden. Perfect for those quiet moments. 7 Bedrooms and 6 Bathrooms. All the bedrooms have double or queen beds. Four of the bedrooms also have a single bed and 1 room has 2 twins. Several rooms have beautiful 400 year old exposed beamed ceilings. The bathrooms are all equipped with modern spacious showers, toilets and wash basins.
Le Prunier Cottage.
This attached cottage has 1 bedroom with a queen size bed and bunk beds and 1 bathroom, and a living area. This cottage faces south and has a private garden and terrace. There is a lounge area which has seating for four. It also has a TV and a satelite for basic english channels. The cottage kichen is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a spacious bathroom with shower, bath, sink and toilet.
Each cottage has a south facing terrace and a private garden at the back so you can enjoy the sun all day long from delicious buttery croissants in the morning to dinner with a glass of wine in the evening.
Le Rosier Cottage
Le Rosier cottage has a double and single bedroom (bunk bed) on the first floor and these two rooms share a bathroom. The bathroom has a bath, shower, sink and toilet. On the second floor the charming twin bedroom (with plenty of room for an extra single if needed) has a private bathroom with bath, shower, sink and toilet. There is a terrace on the south side and a fenced terrace on the back leading to the play area and swimming pool. These two terraces ensure that you can profit from the sunshine.
Notes on accommodation: Free unlimited WIFI in all the cottages, the terraces, the gardens and by the swimming pool. Outside: 3 acres of gardens. On the south side every cottage has a terrace overlooking the lawns and orchards. The back garden has a large children’s play area ( 5 m trampoline, badminton net, table tennis, jeux de boules pit, goal, swings, slide) which is fenced as well as a fenced heated swimming pool. Utility Room: All cottages have washing machines and tumble dryers.
